Pitch:

Will the outcome of the next Super Bowl be determined on a high school soccer field?

Dr. Glenda Bentley, an accomplished but difficult orthopedic surgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers, meets Scott Gibson when he comes to her rescue on her son’s high school soccer field. Later, she secretly performs an unapproved, experimental knee surgery on the disheveled former high school soccer star, working as a maintenance man at an elite private school, where he’s called “Gimpy” by many of the privileged students, and their lives change forever. As he begins to heal, her career teeters on the edge of destruction, and the past refuses to stay buried.

He just wanted to walk again - now he’s headed to the Super Bowl.

Within the high-pressure worlds of academic medicine, elite private education, and professional sports, Scott’s grueling rehab at the Steelers facility progresses, but when the team loses their kicker during the NFL playoffs and notice Scott’s powerful leg, everything explodes. Glenda faces investigation, Scott faces demons from the past, and both are forced to confront the real injuries they never treated.

Will she lose her career - or help him chase the kick of a lifetime?
