A Twist of Fate: Reunited to Save each Other's Lives?

Jake Clark is fighting a losing battle against depression. And with personal tragedy clawing at his fraying resilience, he’s devastated by the impossible task of saving his ailing toy company from bankruptcy. So, on a flight to an industry convention, he’s one swig away from taking a lethal dose of pills… until he looks up and sees Samantha, his first love, standing in the aisle, looking down at him.
Eager to catch up after years apart, Sam shoves Jake into the airplane’s lavatory as they ride out extreme turbulence, bouncing together in close quarters for the rest of the flight. The spark between these childhood sweethearts immediately rekindles and Sam would dump her fiancé in a flash for her first love, Jake, until she sees his wedding ring, and confirmation that he loves his wife.
Unaware that she may have saved Jake’s life, her fiancé’s shady business connections drag both into dangerous waters and give Jake a chance to return the favor and become Sam’s life preserver.

The story behind FATE has been converted into a screenplay and is currently in development.
A young filmmaker from Europe recently completed her first feature film and was looking for her next project. She asked to read the FATE script. After reading it, Anna sent the following note.
